Student Name: Isabelle Engel Grade: Grade 11 Artist Statement: This picture of old Faithful is from one of my many visits to Yellowstone national park. A place I have many fond memories of, In this piece I wanted to keep the memory of those visits alive with this piece. A part I found challenging was doing the water/ steam from the geyser erupting, I think I did a fair job in capturing the geyser mid eruption. Teacher: Marcia Nadeau

Student Name: Alanna Spielvogel Grade: Grade 11 Artist Statement: This is an acrylic painting on stretched canvas of my grandmother's cat that she loved. This is a really personal piece I am proud of. Teacher: Marcia Nadeau
Cherry Blossom
Organization or School Affiliation: Wayland High School
Student Name: Sofia Yamamoto Grade: Grade 11 Artist Statement: My piece is a metal pendant inspired by a cherry blossom. I deformed jump rings and attached them to the center of the flower to represent its stamens, then curled them around golden beads to represent its anthers. I've always admired cherry blossoms, and this project was the perfect opportunity to recreate one. It was a challenge to create something so delicate out of something as sturdy as metal Teacher: Amy O'Connell

As I worked on the piece I used inspiration from a few of my favorite brands, like Ann Demeulemeester, 14th Addiction, and If6Was9, to add on extra details. I also used repeating textures and numbers to symbolize the repetition and mundanity of everyday life. Teacher: Amy O'Connell

Organization or School Affiliation: Canton High School
Student Name: Caitlin Tureski Grade: Grade 12 Artist Statement: This picture represents a special moment from the 2025 football season. It shows an amazing catch in the end zone by a Canton high school football player. I was able to capture this fast paced moment in the game because I've learned to anticipate the peak moments of each play. This kind of photography requires a lot of attention and knowledge about the game.

Pure Peace
Organization or School Affiliation: Canton High School
Student Name: Madalyn Sheehan Grade: Grade 11 Artist Statement: The presence of peace is difficult to obtain and even harder to visualize. This photo encapsulates the intangible concept of peace and tranquility, brought on by faith in oneself or a religion. The subject is still, in a prayer pose, eyes closed and meditating. The lights highlight bursts of calm and confidence in one’s ability to be still. Teacher: Patricia Palmer
Ball on Top
Organization or School Affiliation: Canton High School
Student Name: Eli Palacios Grade: Grade 12 Artist Statement: Photography is more than just taking a picture. A person's identity can be communicated in a portrait photograph. You can understand who someone is through their expressions and how they stand or their pose. Close-ups of the subject allow you to understand them even more by looking at all of the details and focusing on their facial expressions.

Ethereal
Organization or School Affiliation: Canton High School
Student Name: Allison Cummings Grade: Grade 11 Artist Statement: This image was inspired by the beauty of our earth and nature itself. I wanted to capture the rain falling and the green trees of the landscape. I chose to encompass the rain and use the long exposure blur to my advantage so that even though you can’t see how heavy it's raining, the droplets create an ethereal feeling when you look up the road at the forest. Teacher: Patricia Palmer

More Than You Really Know
Organization or School Affiliation: Methuen High School
Student Name: Ephraim O Omobude Grade: Grade 11 Artist Statement: You may see some symbolism in my work of art and I suppose the meaning develops within each object, the manner in which the objects are placed, the lighting, and mood. I created a sense of together, yet apart with a feeling of 'rags to riches' within the boxes and color scheme. This work represents myself and my world. Overall, this artwork is the one I am most proud of so far. Teacher: Ms. Amy Perrault

The Plant's Shadow
Organization or School Affiliation: Methuen High School
Student Name: Samuel A Garcia Grade: Grade 9 Artist Statement: I like a clean, defined, and sharp lines. My personal style and artistic style are very similar. After I took the photograph of plant, I manipulated the color so it was vibrant and this made the plant more intriguing for me to draw. I like the minimalism because my color techniques stand out and compliment the dark shadow. When the shadow appeared 3D: I knew I completed a satisfying work of art. Teacher: Ms. Amy Perrault

Fired Earth, Blown Sand
Organization or School Affiliation: Millis High School-Art Dept
Student Name: Sarah Martin Grade: Grade 11 Artist Statement: This painting was made to represent the overlooked beauty of the world. Things as simple as pots and glass can reflect beautiful colors and contain gorgeous hues. Painting something that people usually turn a blind eye to can open the eyes of the viewer to see the true beauty of the world around them. This is exactly what I am striving to accomplish and convey with this piece. Teacher: Amy Radcliffe
Rooted in Change
Organization or School Affiliation: Millis High School-Art Dept
Student Name: Rylee Silvia Grade: Grade 12 Artist Statement: This piece represents how growth can be presented in a plethora of ways. I used colored pencil, and my goal was to display how growth comes in a variety of forms; no two flowers are the same, similar to how no two people are the same. Flowers experience lots of change before reaching their final form. This can reflect humans: we are always changing and adapting to new environments and experiences.

Connected
Organization or School Affiliation: Millis High School-Art Dept
Student Name: Josefina Burr Grade: Grade 9 Artist Statement: The idea behind “Connected” comes from my fear for a future of interactions by artificial intelligence and the lack of socializing in public settings with the increasing use of social media. My work depicts a subway where everyone is immersed in their devices and not interacting with others around them but still connected at the same time through the internet.
